Getting Started & Why pon Is Different
Why does pon work differently from other shopping-list apps?
pon adapts to how you actually shop instead of relying on rigid categories. Your list groups itself automatically by store, sorts itself over time to match your path through the market, and reminds you in the right place. You don't have to set anything up for this — pon simply learns along as you shop the way you always do.
What makes it special: pon makes the most of everything your iPhone can do (location, voice, predictions) to take work off your hands — and yet everything stays on your device. We don't want to know anything about you; everything pon learns happens locally. You only grant the permissions you find useful: the more you allow, the smarter pon gets — and whatever you don't need, you simply turn off.
And all of it is deliberately ad-free, tracking-free and free of charge — pon is funded solely by users who choose to support it.
Is pon really free — and how is the app funded?
Yes — completely free and without any limits. There's no paid Pro version, no locked features and no subscription: you can use pon in full, forever.
And that's on purpose: pon shows no ads, does no tracking and never sells your data. We don't analyze what you buy or how you use the app — which is exactly why everything pon learns stays on your device. pon isn't funded by ads or investors, but solely by people who choose to support the project.
That's the whole idea: if you like pon and enjoy using it every day, you can choose to support the project with an in-app purchase — no subscription, no extras, simply to help keep it running and growing. You'll find this in the app settings (profile icon at the top right of the overview) under „Support the Project“. And if you'd rather not? No problem — pon stays completely free for you all the same. That's how the app stays independent and ad-free, thanks to its users.
Is one list enough, or do I need one per supermarket?
One list is enough in almost every case — and that's entirely by design. In pon, several supermarkets live on the same list; it's grouped by store automatically, and while shopping you only see the section for the store you're currently in. Creating a separate list per supermarket works against this idea and gains you nothing — we'd advise against it.
Multiple lists only make sense when you genuinely have separate purposes, like a „Weekend“ or „Party“ list alongside your regular shopping. For everyday use: stick with one list — it can do it all.
Why are there no product categories like fruit or dairy?
Because stores are more useful than abstract categories. pon groups by the shop you buy in and, within that store, sorts by your actual order — which mirrors your real path through the aisles. A fixed category order („fruit“, „dairy“), on the other hand, almost never fits the specific market you're standing in.
The benefit for you: instead of walking back and forth, you check off from top to bottom. And because an item can sit in a different spot at different stores, pon learns this separately for each store — completely automatically.
How do I create, edit or delete a list?
You handle everything to do with lists in the list overview (the home screen with all your lists):
- New list: tap „⋯“ at the top right → „Create new list“.
- Rename or edit: swipe left on the list and tap the pencil.
- Delete: swipe left and tap the trash can (when you only have one list, delete is hidden).
- Reorder: „⋯“ at the top right → „Sort lists“.
By the way, for everyday use you usually only need a single list — it can hold several supermarkets at once.
How do I add items to a list?
In an open list you have four ways to add an item:
- the search bar at the bottom
- the „+“ next to it (opens product search)
- the barcode scanner (press and hold the „+“ or the microphone, or use the „⋯“ menu at the top right)
- dictation (the microphone icon at the bottom)
In search, just type a name — pon suggests matching products and your recently bought ones, each already set with your usual quantity and your store.
Do I have to set pon up first (pantry, household size, products)?
No. You don't have to set anything up in advance — no inventory, no household size, no product setup. pon learns everything from your normal shopping: the in-store order from your check-offs, your stores from your location, and your pantry from your purchases. At first the estimates are rough, and they get better with every shopping trip.
Using Items & Lists
How do I change an item's quantity, package size or details?
The quickest way is right in the open list: swipe the item all the way from right to left in one motion — that opens editing immediately. In pon this quick full-swipe gesture is deliberately „Edit“ rather than „Delete“, so a single swipe hits exactly what you need most in everyday use. In editing you can change quantity, package size/pack, attributes, price, offer, image and note.
If you just want to quickly change the count, swipe a little less far to the left and tap „More“ — there you'll find a large quantity slider (plus Move, Copy, Delete).
How do I check off items — tap or swipe?
In an open list, just tap an item to check it off (tap again to undo) — that's the default gesture and the quickest way. If you'd rather swipe, you can change this in the app settings (profile icon at the top right of the overview) under „Check off items“; then you check off by swiping from the left.
Checked-off items are only struck through at first and stay visible so you keep the overview — they aren't removed until you clean up.
Why aren't checked-off items removed automatically, and how do I clean up?
That's on purpose: checked-off items stay struck through at first so you keep the overview while shopping and don't put anything in the cart twice. To remove them, tap the blue „Clean up“ pill at the bottom of the list (it appears as soon as something is checked off), pull the list down, or shake your iPhone (if the shake gesture is enabled).
If you'd prefer it automatic, you can set this in an open list via „⋯“ at the top right → „List settings“ → „Customization“ → „Automatic removal of items“.
How do I move or copy an item to another list?
Swipe the item left in the open list, tap „More“ and choose „Move“ or „Copy“, then the target list. Move takes the item out of the current list; Copy leaves it there and also creates a copy in the other list.
Can I add an image or a note to an item?
Yes — the image and note live in the item details (an item's edit view). There you'll find „Add image“ (camera, photos or files) and a „Notes“ field.
How to reach the item details:
- When you create an item you're already in its details — just tap „Add image“.
- For an item that's already on the list: swipe left on it in the list to open its details.
An added image then appears as a small preview in the list; tapping it shows it large.
What is the offer reminder on an item?
Open the item in editing (swipe all the way left on it in the list) and, under „Offer“, enter an offer price with a date range. pon then reminds you in good time before the deal ends — so you never miss an offer and can see right while planning when it's worth buying.
How do I scan a barcode?
In an open list, press and hold the „+“ or the microphone at the bottom and choose „Scan barcode“ (or use the „⋯“ menu at the top right). Point the camera at the barcode — pon recognizes the product and adds it. You can name an unknown code yourself; after that pon will recognize it next time.
Grouping & Sorting
Why are the items on my list grouped by supermarket?
Because it means that while shopping you immediately see what you need in the store you're in — without jumping back and forth between shops. pon assigns each item to the right supermarket and groups the list accordingly. At Rewe, you check off the Rewe section from top to bottom; the things for dm sit neatly in their own group.
How does pon know which group an item belongs to? From the item's „Where to buy“ field — estimated at first, then learned from your real purchases. That's why the same item can end up in a different group for you than for someone else: pon goes by your shopping, not by a rigid template.
That way you only need one list for all your stores — and yet, while shopping, only the relevant things are ever together.
What does „Where to buy“ on an item mean — and why does pon ask?
Every item has a „Where to buy“ field in its details. It tells pon which store group the item belongs to, where it appears in the order while shopping, and where the location reminder should remind you of it. That's exactly what turns a plain list into your sorted shopping plan.
You can set a main store („primary“) and add further stores as „Alternatives“. Usually you don't need to enter anything — pon fills in „Where to buy“ over time by learning from your purchases.
Deliberately not a recommendation: there's an „Any“ option (any store). Only choose it if you really do buy the item everywhere — because with „Any“ it loses its store assignment: it lands in no store group, doesn't appear in the right spot in the order, and the location reminder won't fire for it. In short, many location features drop away for this item. When in doubt, pick the matching store — pon does the rest.
What are alternative locations and how does the re-sorting work?
You can get many items at more than one store. So besides the main store („primary“), you can add others as „Alternatives“ — or pon learns them by itself if you allow „Learn alternative locations“ and check off items.
The benefit shows on the go: if you're spontaneously in a different supermarket that also carries an item, pon temporarily moves it into the matching group there — so your list is right even when you're not in the store you planned. Once you leave, it slips back to its main store. For this, pon needs your location (which stays solely on your device).
Add alternatives: in the item details under „Where to buy“ → „Add Alternative“. The more pon knows about your stores, the better the list fits — wherever you happen to be shopping.
How does Smart Sorting work?
pon learns from the order in which you check off items how you move through a store — and sorts your list to match from then on. After about 3 to 5 trips per store, the order settles in nicely. New items first land where their kind usually sits in the store, and move to their spot after a few trips.
The handy part: you don't need location access for this — learning the order happens purely from your check-offs, entirely on your device. Over time you simply work down the list from top to bottom in the store instead of searching.
Why does my list suddenly reorder itself?
That's intended — and exactly what makes pon better for you. Two things move the order:
- pon keeps learning from your check-offs how you move through the store and adjusts the sorting step by step; after a few trips it settles and stays calm.
- The section of a known store automatically moves to the top as soon as you're there, so you immediately see the right things.
You get the most out of it by simply letting pon learn along — then over time you just work down the list from top to bottom in the store, without searching. A fixed alphabetical order is possible, but it throws away exactly this advantage.
Why does a store section jump to the top when I'm there?
When you're at a known store, pon automatically moves its section to the top so you see the right things right away — no scrolling. If you're not at any store, the nearest one with the most open items moves to the top.
For this to work, pon uses your location — which is processed solely on your device and never sent to us; we don't want to know where you are. It's worth leaving on: it's one of those moments where pon noticeably takes work off your hands in the store.
How do I sort the list myself and undo a wrong order?
Two ways: press and hold an item in the open list and drag it to the right spot. Or — clearer when you're reordering several — open „⋯“ at the top right → „Sort items manually“; drag handles then appear.
Important: a manual move isn't a one-off — it's a head start for Smart Sorting. pon remembers your placement as a strong signal and keeps the position exactly that way, releasing it only after a few of your own shopping trips; after that, your move still counts as a weighty vote in the learned order.
Especially at the start, when pon doesn't yet know your path through the store, a quick manual sort gets the list into shape fast — without giving up Smart Sorting at all.
Can I sort the list in a way other than Smart Sorting?
Yes, you can — but Smart Sorting is deliberately the default because it adapts to your real path through the store and does the sorting for you. If you like, in an open list you can go to „⋯“ at the top right → „List settings“ → „Sorting“ and choose „Item name (alphabetically)“ or „Creation date“ instead; these order things in a fixed way and never reorder automatically.
Keep in mind what you lose then: the learned aisle order and the automatic promotion of your current store — exactly what makes pon special. If you only want to pin a single position, it's almost always better to press and hold the item, drag it to its spot, and leave Smart Sorting on.
Smart Sorting isn't sorting correctly — why is that?
Usually the order simply isn't fully learned yet: pon needs a few trips per store and only learns from your own check-offs (not those of other participants). So give it a few trips — it gets better each time.
Also check, in an open list via „⋯“ at the top right → „List settings“ → „Sorting“, that „Smart Sorting“ is selected there. You can pin any single position by pressing and holding and dragging it to its spot at any time.
Shopping Locations & Reminders
How does pon learn my shopping locations?
When you check off items in a store, pon recognizes the location — either automatically via a matching nearby map-service entry, or it briefly asks you „Are you shopping at …?“ (with „Yes, remember“, „No“ and „Don't ask here again“). This is how your personal map of shopping locations builds up along the way.
The more locations pon knows, the better it sorts and reminds you — so it's worth letting it run along. Your locations stay solely on your device; nothing is sent to us. If you'd rather set them yourself, you'll find the controls in an open list via „⋯“ at the top right → „Locations“.
What does the question „Are you shopping at …?“ after checking off mean?
This is how pon learns a new shopping location:
- „Yes, remember“ saves the current location under this store name.
- „No“ declines just this one spot.
- „Don't ask here again“ blocks the spot permanently — handy if, say, you check off at home and never want a store learned there.
What is the pink „Nearby“ card?
It tells you: you're near a store where you still have open items. pon recognizes the store because you've checked off there before — that's how it learned the spot (all on your device, your location never leaves it). And it only appears when you really do still have something open for that store — otherwise it stays away.
It's meant as a little reminder in passing, so you take care of the shopping right away instead of making a special trip later. You get the most out of it if you allow notifications: then you even get this hint as a push, without having to open pon at all. And when you open the app, you see the same card at a glance up top. The widget and the Apple Watch mirror the same hint.
How do I set up location reminders?
In an open list, open the „⋯“ menu at the top right → „Locations“ and turn on „Learn Locations“ and „Shopping Reminder“.
Important for reminders in the background: location access must be set to „Always“ (iOS Settings → pon → Location) — only then may iOS wake pon at the right moment when you pass a store. If it's set only to „While Using the App“, these pass-by reminders unfortunately won't fire.
No worries about your data: your location is processed solely on your device and never sent to us — we don't want to know where you are. Give it a try; it's the feature that reminds you to shop reliably and without a second thought, and you can turn it off again anytime. Under „Time Schedule“ (in the same „Locations“ area) you decide when reminders are allowed (default: Mon–Sat, 7 am–10 pm).
Can I set when pon reminds me?
Yes. In an open list via „⋯“ at the top right → „Locations“ → „Shopping Reminder“ → „Time Schedule“, you choose weekdays and a time window. Outside that window pon stays quiet — so you get no alerts at night or on Sundays, for example, but don't miss anything during the day.
Does the location reminder use a lot of battery, and what happens to my location?
No, it doesn't use noticeable battery — there's a clever trick behind it. Your iPhone already roughly knows where it is at all times (via cellular and Wi-Fi, not constant GPS). pon uses exactly this built-in „Geofencing“ feature of iOS: you store your stores, and the operating system itself watches over them in the background in a power-saving way and only wakes pon the moment you reach one of your stores. So pon doesn't run the whole time and never keeps GPS on permanently.
And on privacy: your location is processed solely on your device and never sent to us — we don't want to know where you are. That's exactly how pon taps your iPhone's potential without you giving anything up for it. Give the location reminder a try; if you don't need it, you can turn it off again with a single tap.
When Something Isn't Right
Why do I see the pink „Nearby“ card even though I'm at home?
In that case a store was accidentally learned near your home, or a store's radius reaches all the way to you.
Fix it in an open list via „⋯“ at the top right → „Locations“ → „Manage Locations“: tap the offending location on the map and delete it, move it, or shrink its radius. If you never want a store at this spot, choose „Don't ask here again“ the next time „Are you shopping at …?“ appears.
pon learned a store wrong — how do I fix it?
In an open list, open „⋯“ at the top right → „Locations“ → „Manage Locations“. There you can delete, move, rename a location or adjust its radius.
If items and shopping history are already attached to the store, pon offers you „Replace“ instead of „Delete“ — so all items and the history move cleanly to a different market. You can block a spot permanently via „Don't ask here again“.
pon suggests a wrongly learned product — how do I get rid of it?
Open product search (the search bar or „+“ in an open list) and switch to „Recent“ if needed; there, swipe the product left.
A product you created yourself is really deleted; a product from the catalog is only reset to its default values (your learned prices, locations and attributes for it are dropped). A brief note („Deleted“ or „Reset“) confirms it.
pon doesn't remind me (or at the wrong place) — what can I do?
Usually one condition is missing — quickly run through them:
- Is location access set to „Always“? (iOS Settings → pon → Location)
- Are „Learn Locations“ and „Shopping Reminder“ turned on? (in an open list via „⋯“ → „Locations“)
- Are notifications allowed for pon, and are you within your time schedule?
If pon reminds you at the wrong place, a location was usually learned imprecisely — correct it via „⋯“ → „Locations“ → „Manage Locations“.
A pantry or repurchase estimate is off — can I correct it?
Yes. Open the pantry (in an open list at the top via the title bar, or via „⋯“ → „Pantry“) and tap the fill ring on the product — choose „empty“, „¼“, „½“, „¾“ or „Full“. „Full“ resets freshness and shelf life; „Used up“ takes the product out of the pantry.
After just a few such corrections, the estimate becomes noticeably more accurate. And if the item is already on a list, the hint disappears on its own.
Why does the order differ on the Apple Watch?
The iPhone determines and learns the order; the Watch only mirrors it. Shortly after learning, or when the iPhone is disconnected, the Watch may differ temporarily. Open the Watch app while the iPhone is nearby — then it syncs up. An order you've fixed by dragging applies reliably everywhere.
The pon app on the Apple Watch is stuck or not updating — what helps?
Usually it helps to bring your iPhone close and briefly open the Watch app so it syncs up. If that doesn't help, force-quit the app on the Watch once and reopen it:
- Open pon on the Watch.
- Press and hold the side button until the power-off menu appears.
- Release the side button, then press and hold the Digital Crown until pon closes and you return to the watch face.
- Open pon again — usually everything runs smoothly after that.
If even that doesn't help, restart your iPhone and Watch; stubborn sync hiccups almost always clear after restarting both devices.
Sharing & Collaborating
How do I invite someone to my list?
In an open list, open „⋯“ at the top right → „Invite people“. You can share an invitation link or invite someone directly by email (including from your contacts).
Only people you invite get access. Ideally each invited person has their own pon account — then everyone always sees the latest state.
Can I remove a person from my list again?
Participants currently can't be removed directly from a shared list. If you want to end access, you can duplicate the list (swipe left in the overview, then Copy) and share the copy anew with the people you want; you then stop sharing the old list.
How can I see that someone on my list is currently shopping?
As soon as a participant gets going, a black „… is shopping now“ card appears at the top of the list overview (and in the list itself) with their name, progress and item count; tapping it shows what's already in the cart.
This requires that member notifications are turned on. The widget and the Apple Watch show the same live hint.
How do I get notifications from shared lists?
So you notice when someone else heads out or changes something, turn on the list's notifications: in an open list via „⋯“ at the top right → „List settings“ → „Notifications“ → the „Collaboration“ section. There you switch on „Share Shopping Start“ (then the „… is shopping now“ card and the push appear) and „Updates“ (alerts when the list changes).
Important: this requires that you've allowed pon to send notifications (iOS asks the first time). And it only works properly if each person has their own account — otherwise pon can't even know that „someone else“ is shopping.
Why does the number on the app icon change?
That's the number of your open items across all active lists. It changes when you or other participants add, check off or clean up items.
You can turn it off in the app settings (profile icon at the top right of the overview) under „Items total on app-icon“.
You can keep a single list (e.g. a large pantry or archive list) out of the count specifically: in that list, via „⋯“ at the top right → „List settings“ → „Customization“ → „Exclude items“.
How do I keep a list out of the count, suggestions and statistics?
Open the list in question and go to „⋯“ at the top right → „List settings“ → „Customization“ → „Exclude items“. Then this list no longer feeds into the app-icon count, the widget, the Watch complication, suggestions and statistics — ideal for large pantry or archive lists that would otherwise skew your everyday numbers.
Sign-In & Account
How can I sign in to pon?
The best way is „Sign in with Apple“ — the fastest and most private option. We especially recommend Apple's „Hide My Email“ option: Apple creates an anonymous forwarding address, so we don't even see your real email. It hardly gets closer to pon's principle — we want to know as little about you as possible.
Alternatively, you can sign in with email and password. Even then we only ask for the essentials (name and email) and transfer everything encrypted.
Important, whichever you choose: each person should have their own account — see right next door for why.
Why should each person have their own account?
Because pon identifies people by their account. If two people sign in with the same account (e.g. you on your iPhone and your partner using your login on theirs), pon treats you as one single person — and everything that depends on more than one person is lost:
- no „… is shopping now“ notification when someone heads out
- no telling who added or checked off what
- no live display during shared shopping
Here's how it's meant to work: each person creates their own account (ideally with „Sign in with Apple“), installs pon on their device — and then you share the list between your accounts (in an open list via „⋯“ at the top right → „Invite people“). Only then does shared shopping work properly, with all the hints and the live status.
Have you been sharing one account between two people? Create separate accounts and share the list anew — it's worth it.
Why do I need an account to share?
When you share, your list and every change need to travel from your device to the other participants' devices. Since everyone is rarely online at the same time, this data is briefly cached on our servers (located in Germany) for that purpose — solely to pass it on to the authorized participants.
The transfer is encrypted, we analyze nothing in the process, and we deliberately ask only for the essentials: name and email. That's exactly what an account is for — it assigns the right changes to the right people.
Your trust is protected: if you delete your account, this data is removed from our servers immediately. And everything pon learns (order, locations, pantry) stays local on your device anyway and is never transferred along. Without sharing you don't need an account — then nothing leaves your iPhone at all. An account is also worthwhile if you want to use pon on several of your own devices (e.g. iPhone and iPad) with the same state.
How do I change my profile picture or name?
Open your profile (the icon at the top right of the list overview). Tap your profile picture at the top to change it — you can take a photo, pick one from your photos or files, use one from your contacts, or remove it again. You change your name and email right below via „Edit“; you can also sign out from the same profile via „Log out“.
Your picture and name are what others see of you in a shared list — your own photo makes it clear at a glance who's doing what.
How do I delete my account?
Open your profile (the icon at the top right of the list overview) and tap „Delete user account“ at the bottom. All your data is then removed from our servers immediately. This can't be undone; you can keep using pon itself without an account afterwards, or create a new account later.
Pantry, Suggestions & Statistics
What is the pantry, and how does pon know my stock?
The pantry is a smart estimate of what you probably still have at home — without you entering anything by hand. pon derives it from your purchases (when and how much you buy, plus estimated shelf life and consumption) and computes it all right on your device. We don't see any of it.
Because it's an estimate, the figures are rough at first and get more accurate with every purchase and every small correction. You'll find the pantry in an open list at the top via the title bar, or via the „⋯“ menu → „Pantry“. The more you use pon, the better it gets — and you never have to maintain an inventory list.
How do I correct a pantry figure?
Open the pantry (in an open list at the top via the title bar, or via „⋯“ → „Pantry“) and tap the fill ring on the product — choose „empty“, „¼“, „½“, „¾“ or „Full“.
This teaches pon the right amount: „Full“ resets freshness and shelf life, „Used up“ takes the product out. A swipe left hides a product from the pantry (it comes back on its own the next time you buy it).
Why does pon suggest I buy something again?
From your purchase history, pon estimates when you usually need something again and speaks up in good time beforehand — so you also think of things that tend to get forgotten. This prediction is made entirely on your device; we don't analyze your purchases.
When you act on a card (add or adjust the quantity), pon remembers that and gets more accurate — so it's worth using them actively. If a suggestion doesn't fit, just swipe the card away; after swiping it away a few times, that particular suggestion pauses on its own.
What do the statistics show, and where do I find them?
In an open list, open „⋯“ at the top right → „Statistics“ to view the analysis of your purchases (e.g. charts and patterns).
Use the title menu to switch which list you're viewing; via „⋯“ → „Edit view“ you rearrange the cards or add new analyses. All the data for this is created and stays on your device.
Are my pantry and purchase data uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything pon learns about you — your pantry, your repurchase rhythms, your statistics, your in-store order — is created and stays solely on your device. We don't upload it, don't analyze it, and don't even want to know it. That's our deliberate stance: your shopping is none of our business.
That's exactly why each iPhone learns for itself. Two devices (or two people) can therefore have learned different amounts and show slightly different things — each learns individually from what happens on it. That's not a bug but the price, and at the same time the benefit, of real privacy: because nothing is collected centrally, everything stays private.
(What you deliberately share — your lists with others, or an iCloud backup of your learning data — is separate and only happens when you choose it.)
Voice Assistants & Devices
How do I add items to the list with Siri or dictation?
Say, for example, „Add milk to my pon list“ — Siri adds it without you having to open the app. For several items at once, use dictation: tap the microphone icon and speak; recognized items appear as chips you can review before adding.
Speech recognition runs entirely on your device — nothing is sent to us or third parties for recognition. Fast, convenient and still private.
How do I add items by dictation (voice)?
In an open list, tap the microphone icon at the bottom and just start speaking — even several items in a row („milk, butter, six eggs“). pon recognizes them and shows them as individual chips that you can review or remove before adding.
This is handy when you want to capture a lot at once without typing. Speech recognition runs entirely on your device — nothing is sent to us or third parties for recognition.
To add without opening the app at all, use Siri.
How does pon work with Alexa?
Say, for example, „Alexa, add milk to pon“. Alexa recognizes the name and applies your matching preset (quantity, attributes, store). For this you need a pon account and the voice feature enabled — only product and store names are transferred, not your buying behavior (details in the privacy policy).
How do I sync my lists across several of my own devices?
Sign in with the same pon account on every device (via your profile — the icon at the top right of the list overview) — then your lists are on the same state everywhere. Without an account, everything stays local on each device.
What pon has learned (order, pantry, locations) isn't synced along with the lists, but can be moved to a new device via iCloud backup.
The Home Screen widget shows, for your information, the same pink „Nearby“ hint and the black „is shopping now“ card as the app — just to look at, computed on the iPhone. Lists excluded via the count exclusion don't appear there either.
How do I use pon on the Apple Watch?
On the Apple Watch you have your lists right on your wrist: check off items, see the store-grouped order, and get the „Nearby“ hint — handy when your iPhone stays in your pocket. A complication on the watch face gets you into your list with a single tap.
The order and everything learned come from the iPhone; the Watch mirrors them and syncs up when your iPhone is nearby. Open the Watch app once with the iPhone in range so everything syncs freshly.
What does the iCloud backup save, and how do I restore it?
It saves what pon has learned on this device (order, locations, pantry, history) — in your own iCloud, which only you can access; we can't reach it. In the app settings (profile icon at the top right of the overview) → „Backup“ you can back up, and via „Restore from iCloud“ you can restore: „Merge“ (recommended when there's already data on the device) or „Replace“ (a fresh device switch).
Give it a try: that way, when you switch devices, nothing pon has learned about your shopping is lost. Your lists themselves come back through normal account sync anyway, not through the backup.
I didn't find an answer here — what now?
First try the search at the bottom with different words.
If you really find nothing or something isn't working as expected, get in touch via the app settings (profile icon at the top right of the overview) → „Help & Feedback“. There you can report a specific problem and, if you like, attach diagnostic data — that's the fastest way for us to help.
