How do I add items to the list with Siri or dictation?
Just tell Siri „Add an item to pon“ or „Put an item on my shopping list in pon“. Siri will ask what you need — and you can dictate freely, including several items with quantities („2 cartons of milk and butter“).
Items you have bought before can also go straight into the sentence: „Add strawberries to pon“ or „Put strawberries on my shopping list in pon“. Siri learns your products with every shop.
Inside an open list it is even quicker: tap the microphone symbol at the bottom and just speak. Speech recognition runs entirely on your device — nothing is sent to us or to third parties for recognition.
Tip: For several items at once, dictation is usually more comfortable than Siri. Apple's voice commands only understand freely worded sentences to a point — with dictation you simply speak and see the recognised items before they land on the list. It is always one press away: the dictation button in your list, a long press on the app icon, the control in Control Centre, the Action Button or the Shortcuts app.
