How do I keep a list out of the count, suggestions and statistics?

Open the list in question and go to „⋯“ at the top right → „List settings“ → „Customization“ → „Exclude items“. Then this list no longer feeds into the app-icon count, the widget, the Watch complication, suggestions and statistics — ideal for large pantry or archive lists that would otherwise skew your everyday numbers.
